Project Heal of Santa Barbara County (Project Heal of SBC)
is dedicated to advancing public health literacy through evidence-informed education, community engagement, and capacity-building initiatives. Our work supports communities and organizations in understanding health and social care needs and in exploring inclusive approaches that reduce barriers to care and improve health outcomes in local environments
We envision a world in which every person has equitable access
to the knowledge, tools, and support necessary to lead a healthy, fulfilling life. Healthcare and access to it are treated as fundamental human rights, not privileges. Guided by this principle, Project Heal of SBC develops scalable, data-driven models of impact that make health knowledge more accessible and help people navigate care systems with greater confidence, clarity, and agency.
Through strategic partnerships with community members, NGO’s, local businesses, healthcare providers, and educational institutions,
we extend our reach beyond our region to strengthen national and global efforts toward sustainable health and wellness equity. All programs and trainings are provided in a way that is culturally responsive and consistent with state and federal civil-rights protections, and our services are offered on a need-based, race- and sex-neutral basis in compliance with federal and California civil-rights laws. Project Heal of SBC does not engage in lobbying or partisan political activity; all public health updates and resources are shared for educational and informational purposes only.
